What We Believe

God has commissioned His church to see souls saved and disciples made. Therefore, we as a church hold this set of values in order to accomplish this mission together.

Our Values

  • Life of Worship

We believe worship is more than music and songs - it’s the posture of our lives. At Antioch Church, we worship God in Spirit and in truth by surrendering all we are to King Jesus.

  • Pursuit of Discipleship

We believe followers of Jesus are to be, and to make, disciples. At Antioch Church, we pursue discipleship by growing in the Scriptures, praying, walking in the Spirit, and living in community.

  • A Heart of Generosity

We believe God calls us to have a heart of generosity. At Antioch Church, we seek to grow in generosity by submitting our time, talents, resources, and finances to Him so the Kingdom of God would advance.

  • Radical Service

We believe God has equipped us for radical service. At Antioch Church, we desire to follow Jesus’ example of service through sacrifice, selflessness, and compassion.

  • Worldwide Evangelism

We believe God has commissioned us for worldwide evangelism. At Antioch Church, we will go wherever God leads us to share the Gospel through building relationships, preaching the Word of God, and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Foursquare Church

What makes us a movement worth joining? Foursquare offers a biblical foundation with the flexibility your church needs to reach its community for Jesus in the modern era.

What does “Foursquare” mean?

Christ the Savior

The cross represents Christ as the Savior. Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God who died on a cross to pay the price for our sin. Because of his sacrifice, we can actually have a relationship with the creator of the universe.

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
— Romans 10:9

Christ the Baptizer

The dove represents Christ as the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit. When Jesus was baptized, a dove came down and landed on him, showing the Spirit of God was one with Jesus. The Spirit of God does the same thing today. In fact, we describe our movement as “Spirit Filled”, because the impossible is possible when people are empowered by the Holy Spirit.

John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
— Luke 3:16

Christ the Healer

The chalice represents Christ as the Healer. Jesus cares and is involved in all of our lives. Whether our issues are emotional, spiritual, or physical, God has the power to heal the deepest of wounds, and cure the darkest of afflictions.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
— 1 Peter 2:24

Christ Our Soon Coming King

The crown represents Christ as our soon coming King. Simply put, Jesus is who he said he was. No matter how dark or confusing the world may get, Jesus will be returning one day to make all things right.

Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.
— Acts 1:11
